Volunteers Needed for Various Boards

The City of Glen Rose has multiple "Boards / Commissions" that require volunteers to succeed. Each of these Boards have two year terms and have spots that either have expired or will be expiring soon. The volunteer opportunities are as follows:

Board of Adjustment - Semi-Judicial Board that meets on an as needed basis, but typically 4 - 5 times a year.

  • Currently there are 2 terms expiring on March 10, 2018.
  • There is also one (1) unexpired term that is VACANT that would end March 10, 2019.
  • Applications should be submitted to the Building and Planning Office.

Planning and Zoning Commission - Advisory Board that meets typically once a month.

  • Currently there are 3 terms expiring on January 5, 2018.
  • Applications for these openings should be submitted to the Building and Planning Office no later than December 4th.

Preservation Board - This Board meets typically once a month.

  • Currently there are 2 terms expiring on May 31, 2018. 
  • There is also one (1) unexpired term that is VACANT, that would end May 31, 2019.
  • Applications should be submitted to the Building and Planning Office.

Economic Development Corporation (Type B) - This Board is required to meet once a year, but will meet on an as needed basis.

  • Currently there is one (1) unexpired term that is VACANT, that would end June 30, 2019
  • Applications should be submitted to the City Secretary at City Hall.

CVB Advisory Board - This advisory board meets typically once a month.

  • Currently there are 4 terms expiring December 5, 2017.
  • Applications should be submitted to the CVB Director or City Hall.
